The Pop-Up Artisan Market is a whole new venture. An online space for creative businesses based here in the Costa Brava to promote and sell their work to a wider audience. Particularly during these difficult times when the usual places like Arts and Crafts Markets and Events are cancelled and people who would normally buy their unique and original pieces for themselves, their friends and their families from independent traders have few means of seeking them out. Its been running since November last year and we are gradually building a following and adding to our traders all the time. Do get in touch if you think this is for you!

Temps de Flor – Time of Flowers

Ah the beautiful month of May, my favourite month (with September running a close second). Fresh faced and sunkissed. The simplest, yet endearing of flowers, the daisy. Who doesn’t remember making daisy chain crowns? Takes us back to happy days playing in the fields, running through the long grass, early summer picnics. Let these memories influence your special day choices. Keep the flower power child hippy chick going with a seventies influenced dress with floaty layers and sleeve, loosely curled flowing hair with that all important flower crown. Here I’ve picked out a lemony yellow with daisy motif in the table setting, paired with natural wood and wire basket stands filled to the brim with, yes, yet more daisies.

This happy month influenced my own design for my heritage vintage bouquet “Buttercups and Daisies” made with satin silk, pearlised beads, vintage sparkles and swarovski crystal, wrapped in natural white linen tied with a satin bow and beautiful vintage brooch.
