Starry starry night
My take on Vincent Van Gogh, these Christmas Trees are a feast of toning colours layering silk fabric, decorated with glass beads that catch the fairy lights and reflect them out as a starry starry night.
I made them using knitting cones from Scrap in Farsley, covered in silk furnishing fabric
I created a template for the middle tier and the top cone using first paper to get the shape right and then transferring to scrap card.
Once the silk was cut to size I beaded with different types and colours of glass bead before fixing down using double sided tape and silicone glue.
Finally fixing the fairy lights in place
They can now light up the mantel, the room, the table or anywhere you want to create a starry, starry night.
