A frolic of faeries
Isn’t that a lovely name for a group of these magical creatures! I am a little bit swoony over A Discovery of Witches at the moment very modern gothic, romantic, all beating hearts, filmed in Oxford and Venice. This got me to wondering if all creatures had a group name so I did the Google thing and found that fairies are also called a herd but I thought that sounded rather bovine and these fluttery ethereal beings are nothing like docile plodding cows!
My flock of faeries will be a limited edition, just ten, all slightly different wearing nought under their finery but a pair of gold ballet shoes. Their hair is white with silver sparkle and wild, faeries after all were never meant to be as good as good can be, they are mischievous and tricksters but if you spy one they have to grant you a wish.
With sparkling silver wings and gossamer underskirts their gowns are made of bridal lace and finished with a golden cord. Find them on my stall at The Christmas Fair in La Sala, Corca on 17 November but hurry there are only ten!
