Xray flowers
Not a new art form but one experimented with way back in the 1930s when Dain L Taker used his xray machine to photograph flowers, not the kind of thing available to your average photographer!
In later years this practice has been dabbled in by medical students and more recently by artists.
I just love the way the method literally lets you see inside the whole flower and not just the outer beauty.
It fascinates me as a textile artist to see a different way of the makeup of nature, when I am creating flowers I will often dissect so that I can determine how it is constructed, taking photos of the integral parts as I go.
