The Pop-Up Artisan Market – Coffee Morning
First event of 2022! A coffee morning at my gaff to welcome familiar and new faces and have lots of chat about what we might get up to this year.
It is so nice to be able to socialise again and we were super careful hence the coats and for some of us hats. It wasn’t that cold! I did have the heating on but the windows and doors open so it stayed nice and ventilated.
We have such a lovely diverse group of creative people and we welcomed three new folk into the fold, they aren’t ready yet to be promoting work as they are new to the area/country but wanted to get to know like minded people. I only took photos as people started to arrive, there were ten of us altogether but I end up getting so involved making cuppas and chatting that suddenly people are leaving and I’m oops forgot to take lots of pictures!
Everyone brought something so we had a surplus of cake. Centre stage were Karen’s (of Cake by Karen) which included lemon bars, millionaire shortbread and baked cheesecake bites, omg!! We also had a spiced ginger cake, date and walnut and a fruit cake, needless to say doggy bags were taken home!
As well as a getting to know each other better exercise people had loads of great ideas for how we can move forward as restrictions ease over this coming year and I will share those as they, hopefully, come to fruition.
Now I’m off to have a slice of something naughty with my morning coffee, hasta luego compadres!
