The Big Reveal
I have been pretty quiet on here of late because I have been as busy as a busy thing working with a local charity developing and designing their rebrand, new website and on line launch. Big undertaking for a great little organisation.
The charity is run by a small committee and a mini army of volunteers and their aim is to support British and Commonwealth residents and visitors in the Girona region in their hour of need. Services can be anything from translation services, information, home help, legal, bereavement, repatriation right through to transport to and from medical appointments to walking the dog and doing the shopping for short term care and everything in between. Quite an undertaking to convey all that in one logo, a strapline and a concise and easy to navigate online presence!
Together (I love a bit of team work) the website is launched, the Facebook page is ticking along nicely and Instagram is in its infancy but we hope to get members up to speed at our first event since the relaunch at the Coronation Garden Party when we will be debuting the new promotional stand and marketing materials.
On 20 May, late afternoon (4-7pm) in the lovely gardens of Can Carbonell between Llagostera and Vidreres just off the C35 we will be getting together to enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea, There will be cake stands and serving platers of sandwiches, savouries and delicious cakes and pastries washed down with tea, coffee or cava. We are putting out the bunting, cranking up the music and a manning a tombolla with all sorts of prizes.
We thought throwing a Garden Party would be an ideal opportunity to welcome old and new friends, members and volunteers and enjoy celebrating this moment in history for Britain and the Commonwealth. Not everyone, of course, is a Royalist but we feel whatever people’s thoughts are given the previous few years and the current state of the world around us it is a time for us to come together whatever our nationalities and beliefs to offer a hand of friendship and work together for a brighter future.
