The Pop-Up Artisan Market is a whole new venture. An online space for creative businesses based here in the Costa Brava to promote and sell their work to a wider audience. Particularly during these difficult times when the usual places like Arts and Crafts Markets and Events are cancelled and people who would normally buy their unique and original pieces for themselves, their friends and their families from independent traders have few means of seeking them out. Its been running since November last year and we are gradually building a following and adding to our traders all the time. Do get in touch if you think this is for you!

Garden Parties and Afternoon Tea

It is a few weeks now since the mayhem of the British Benevolent Association Garden Party that I was involved in to celebrate the King’s Coronation and the start of summer here on the Costa Brava. Fantastic attendance, over a hundred catered for and the weather was just perfect, dry and sunny but not too hot.

The star of the show had to be the catering which was served regally by Ruth Milner and Karen Burrows (of Cake by Karen). As well as a full team of sandwich and pastry makers Ruth organised all the plate stands including some of my vintage stands to serve the fabulous cakes and vintage plates for the savouries. What a treat it was.

Each one is unique, all have provenance and are genuine vintage. You need to be quick though I only have twelve and it is first come first served. Due to their delicate nature the stands are collection only (Girona) but you can pay online to reserve and arrange collection via the contact form. Any queries do please ask away!
