First Christmas
I’ve been a little absent over Christmas, mainly because we were still moving out and moving in, not so easy with the dodgy arm still not fully functional. I also downed tools, boxes and all other moving paraphernalia when our two sons and their lovely wives arrived the day before Christmas eve a (massive!) surprise for my birthday (Boxing Day). Five whole days surrounded by my nearest and dearest who not only mucked in with the Christmas shopping, cooking and serving up but also put up shelves, fixed fencing and loads of other little jobs.
So although we are now living with a lot of boxes, the garage is busting at the seams but we have managed to get one car in there! and the rest (of the boxes not the cars) are hiding in cupboards and under stairs. I feel like my batteries have been charged and they can be unpacked as and when.
I did manage to bring a bit of festive cheer to the house with a very last minute purchase of a Christmas Tree, successfully digging out some Christmas decorations and some hastily picked and stuffed into tall flower pots greenery to make the front door a bit more welcoming. I also made a new wreath with an old wire coathanger, white silk hydrangea, eucalyptus, pine cones and some twinkle battery lights.
So here is my Christmas Casa…..
Nearly time to take them down, the Reis (Kings) are here tomorrow and 6 January is the Catalan Christmas Day so I guess I’ll putting more things in boxes, again!
