Fired Earth

The first time I walked into Fired Earth in Leeds was like a religious experience. Up until then it had been the local paint store selling Crown and Dulux, not that they haven’t come on a ways since the old days, or the big DIY chains.

Fired Earth was full of stuff that looked like it had been made in a village, tiles drying in the sun, paint colours that were of the natural world.

I’ve seen the above image many, many times, spoons dipped in Fired Earth paint and each time I think I will take out all my old teaspoons and colourise some paint and frame them for my wall. Fired Earth Paint – Shop by Collection
