Coastal Tones
Taking a day off to go to the coast and blow the cobwebs away. It’s going to hit 34C and I think a sea breeze is required.
I’m very influenced by coastal colours at the moment and love this little moodboard I put together with Pantone colours of Hemlock and Sand.
There is a tub full of seaglass chips that have all these colours in and lots of silk scraps in the same shades sitting on my worktable
Time to get myself down to the Brocanters markets now they have started up again, especially as they are deserted when it is this hot so some real bargains to be had.
I also need to have a jolly good sort out of my stock boxes and workspace it is a tad higgledy piggledy. I find it very difficult to be a tidy crafter. Is there such a thing, do tell!
My problem is I often have a number of things on the go, not just creatively but home stuff, chalet stuff, family stuff, friend stuff. My life is basically stuffed. I love it but it does lead to living in the human equivalent of a pig sty. Thing is I don’t really like mess and I do find it blocks my creativity because I need space in my head.
Once the see breeze has blown the cobwebs away I have tomorrow with chalet duties to attend to and Wednesday is going to be a sad day because our Mum passed away just over a week ago and it’s her final journey. I have a feeling I won’t be up to much except reflection. Then I shall move forward.
I shall be ready then I think for creating again.
