Christmas Craft
Got myself a gig with the Anglican Church here organising and taking part in their Christmas Fair. This is right up my street I love event planning, I know it’s sad, but all that list making and tables and designing posters. I also love Christmas decorating so it’s a case of bringing everything together in a Christmas extravaganza!
First year the crew, with my guidance, made some simple yet lovely stuff
Forever Christmas crackers, card tubes covered in fabric scraps and filled with little bags of sweets or stocking fillers, gathered at each end with an elastic band and then tied with ribbon. Decorate as desired.
Rustic twig stars are as cheap as chips and easy to make. Paint gathered twigs, tie with twine to form a star and decorate with unused Christmas ribbons, decorations, greenery or fake flowers
Salt dough. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Loads of recipes on line. For the gingerbread I used brown food colouring, the stars were painted with silver and the angels with white.
Christmas cards are always a firm favourite for everyone from beginner to expert. Gather up old Christmas cards and cut down to use on card blanks (available on line or from craft shops) then its glitter glue, lace, ribbon, buttons and beads and that firm favourite stick on lettering. Or make your own using a Christmassy font and printing off on to card stock.
