Autumn tones
There is something very comforting in Autumn tones, shapes and forms. Is it the associations between fallen leaves with hats and scarves and boots, quilts with roaring log fires, acorns with toasted chestnuts, the scent of aniseed and cinnamon and mulled wine?
I dug out an old printers tray in my stash of vintage in the storeroom the other day and yesterday on my art and stationery supplies trip found some lovely sepia coloured typography ephemera. That will be one of my winter projects backing each compartment and finding lovely pieces to place. I would love to say I had found a gorgeous silver thimble like this Tiffany one but haha fat chance of that!
Which brings me on to sewing and quilting again, I love this gingerbread man quilt and think it would make a nice design for one of my tea cosies. Tea and biscuits anyone?
