Art Attack and Progress in the Cabin
Apologies for the long gap in posting I’ve been hectic, hot and not very well – not necessarily in that order. Suffice to say that the not being very well meant I had to down tools at the cabin for a short while and so I thought I’d take some time to be creative. Am rather pleased with the results, I’ve used shades that echo the beach house feel and they should go well in the lounge area when I get to adding the accessories.
It did me good to go back to the source of my inspiration, looking at old photos and capturing memories.
I haven’t just been doodling. Now that all the ship lap has now arrived I have been cracking on with getting it up on the walls.
I haven’t used it on all the walls, I thought it might be a bit too much, so I’ve picked this linen mousey grey colour in matt emulsion to paint some of the dividing walls.
Excuse the mess! When you are decorating or diying in a small space it requires constant juggling of materials. I must have shifted the paint stock a hundred times this last few weeks. Am really pleased with how all the colours, tones and patterns are coming together.
My last cupboard to be painted, waiting for its second coat and handle. I’m going to put some shelves in between the wall cupboard and the wall for taller items. The fan won’t be taking up all that space either, its just there to stop me from passing out while I’m working, it has been so hot. Having to down tools by 2pm most days.
Progressing nicely though and a few side projects being done by my handyman should see lots of things coming together next week I hope. Watch this space!
