Mannequins

Love the mannequins that are popping up in styling shoots for bedrooms and studios of creative types. For a nice authentic one they are not cheap but I found a half dozen old shop mannequins table top and free standing at a brocanters market so bought the job lot for chicken feed (not literally I gave them euros).

Some I used pva (mod podge) and decoupage, old music sheets and old newsprint both also bought from the brocanters, others I covered with fabric but pinned and sewn rather than glued. 

These two beauties are of the pinned and sewed, the paper ones have gone to new homes.

This one is my piece de resistance and I still have her, she is covered in hessian and linen and decorated with beaded bridal linen and silk georgette. She has decorated my home, she has been to countless fairs and displayed sumptuous vintage jewellery.
