The Pop-Up Artisan Market – May
It’s been awhile since I blogged so much going on here!
If you follow me you will know that I’ve been setting up an on-line Artisan community over the last six months or so – The Pop-Up Artisan Market. With the whole world in lockdown and no way to meet up with like minded folk in the real world I wanted to create a virtual marketplace for us to meet, chat, share our ideas and sell to the lovely people that used to come along to craft fairs, farmers markets and the like.
It’s been full on really. We are a small but merry band of creative people and businesses scattered across the Costa Brava and of very diverse disciplines. Our page on Facebook has grown steadily and the recent addition of our Instagram is catching up, click on either of the highlighted links and pop along for a nosy, give us a like and a follow to keep updated!
The Spring Fair at the end of this month is our next Pop-Up Event and you will need to be following the Facebook page to see all the lovely new products that our Artisans will have available.
I’ve been working on two new ranges Beachlife, sneaky peek below, using heishi beads, sea glass, glass and pearlised beads, cowrie and abalone shell, silver and copper and gold with coastal charms
My second new range is Country Garden, incorporating watercolour painting, natural elements and vintage fabrics. Am also experimenting with resin like these silver lever back cabachon earrings.
Both will feature in my part of the Spring Fair, some pieces are available to pre order via DM on my Facebook page (link at the top of the blog), but both ranges will be available in my online shop when the Fair is open on 31 May.
I have two other BIG THINGS that I’m working on. The first is to bring The Pop-Up to life so to speak, am hoping that now restrictions are easing we will be able to run some real world events, so if its something any of your creative peeps out there in the Costa Brava are interested in then do PLEASE GET IN TOUCH. You don’t need to be a fully fledged set up business, many of us are enthusiastic hobbyists and we can offer plenty of support in helping you get started.
The SECOND BIG THING is the new section we are developing WEDDINGS! I’ve been involved in the industry for a number of years creating bespoke jewellery, heirloom bouquets and bridal party accessories for brides and grooms here in Catalunya, France and the UK. Amongst our members we have experienced caterers, cake makers, people who make gorgeous accessories, decorative items and stationery. We aim to provide a bespoke service for small wedding parties looking for something distinctly different here on the beautiful COSTA BRAVA.
